We update this site continuously. Here's a running log of every meaningful change we've made — so you know what's current and trustworthy.

  1. Ajman Free Zone added: 14 zones, 91 comparisons — and one price correction

    • Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) is now the 14th zone we compare, taking head-to-head comparison pages from 78 to 91 (182 URLs across English and Arabic).
    • AFZ is unusual: the only price it publishes openly is its E-Commerce Licence, from AED 5,555. Its other sixteen packages list features with no price, and its cost calculator emails an estimate rather than showing one — so we label those quote-based instead of guessing.
    • Correction to a figure circulating widely: the "Ajman free zone from AED 4,888" price quoted across many setup-advisory sites is not Ajman Free Zone. It is advertised by Ajman NuVentures Centre Free Zone (ANCFZ), a separate entity on a different domain, and one not listed among the Free Zones Authority of Ajman's business parks. Ajman Free Zone's own lowest published figure is AED 5,555.
    • Because of that, Ajman does not top our cheapest-zone ranking. DIFC and UAQ FTZ remain the lowest published entry prices at AED 5,500.

  2. SPC, UAQ FTZ + Innovation City (ex RAK DAO) added: 13 zones, 78 comparisons

    • New SPC Free Zone (Sharjah Publishing City) zone guide: packages from a published AED 5,750 with the lease agreement included with every licence, 2,000+ activities, on-site immigration and residency in as fast as 5 working days — sourced from spcfz.ae.
    • New UAQ FTZ (Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone) zone guide: the published UAQ LYTE package from AED 5,500 (zero-visa e-commerce licence, up to 3 activities, flexi-desk) and the all-inclusive one-visa UAQ START package at AED 12,500 — sourced from uaqftz.gov.ae, including its designated-free-zone status under Cabinet Decision 54/2023.
    • New Innovation City zone guide — the Ras Al Khaimah tech free zone formerly known as RAK DAO (rakdao.com now redirects to innovationcity.com): published packages from AED 6,600/yr, visas capped at 4, DAO Association Regulations, CMA gate for digital-asset activities — sourced from innovationcity.com.
    • Head-to-head comparison coverage grew from 45 to 78 pages × EN/AR — every pair of the 13 zones now has a side-by-side page.
    • UAE Free Zone Comparison open dataset (JSON + CSV) regenerated to 13 zones, and the AI-crawler surfaces (llms.txt, llms-full.txt) updated to match.
    • New 'Cheapest free zone in the UAE' ranking page at /freezones/cheapest — every zone ranked by its published price, with what each headline number includes and the cheapest visa-included bundle, assembled entirely from the per-zone data.

  3. Free zone comparison engine: 45 head-to-head pages, ADGM + Dubai South, open dataset

    • Head-to-head comparison pages for every pair of the zones we cover — 45 pages × EN/AR at /freezones/compare, each with a side-by-side cost table, choose-X-if verdicts and FAQs, composed entirely from the per-zone data already published on the site.
    • New ADGM (Abu Dhabi Global Market) zone guide. Every figure taken from ADGM's official Registration Authority Schedule of Fees 2025 (USD, at the official 3.6725 peg), with the Hub71 tech start-up incentive, SPV and foundation regimes covered.
    • New Dubai South (DWC) zone guide covering the Business Hub package at its published AED 12,500, the DWC LLC / branch and freelancer routes, and the Al Maktoum airport + Jebel Ali logistics corridor — sourced from dubaisouth.ae and dubaisouthbh.com.
    • Free-zone hub upgraded with a crawlable 2026 comparison table, head-to-head links and an FAQ block.
    • UAE Free Zone Comparison 2026 published as an open dataset (JSON + CSV, CC BY 4.0) with per-zone source URLs — the fifth dataset in ZETUP Open Data.
    • JAFZA guide deepened with customs-clearance and approvals answers sourced from jafza.ae.
    • Internal links tightened: footer now links Free Zones, and every free-zone row in the Cost Index deep-links to its zone guide.

  4. FAQ hub, case studies, locations expanded, author cards, internal linking

    • New /faq hub with 25 questions across 6 categories (Setup, Visas, Trade Licence, Emiratisation, Tax, Pricing) and a single FAQPage schema covering everything.
    • New /case-studies section with 3 anonymised client outcomes (construction switch, hospitality Emiratisation, consultancy cost-cut). Article schema, structured results, ready for real names when permission lands.
    • Glossary expanded from 20 to 29 entries — added FTA, ICP, VAT, Corporate Tax, Investor Visa, Dependent Visa, TADBEER, Tawjeeh, goAML.
    • Locations expanded from 4 to 7 Dubai areas — added Dubai Marina, JLT (DMCC free zone), Al Quoz (industrial backbone).
    • Author bio cards on every blog and guide page with founder photo, role, bio, LinkedIn-ready slot, and reviewed/published date.
    • Internal linking pushed across the site: Related blog posts on blog pages, Related guides on guide pages, Related glossary terms on service pages, Other Dubai areas on location pages.
    • WebApplication schema on cost-calculator and emiratisation-calculator. Service Offer schema with structured pricing on 7 service pages.
    • Sitemap now at 198 URL entries (was 108 before this sprint started).

  5. Glossary launched, Compare hub, Resources, hyperlocal pages, lead magnet

    • New /glossary section with 20 UAE business-setup terms (Tasheel, Amer, MOHRE, GDRFA, Emirates ID, Ejari, WPS, Emiratisation, Nafis, and more) — DefinedTerm + DefinedTermSet schema.
    • Hyperlocal landing pages for 4 Dubai areas: Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road, Deira. Each with Service schema and areaServed geo coordinates.
    • Free Resources hub with the 38-step Dubai Mainland Setup Checklist (printable + email-gated lead magnet).
    • /compare hub page surfacing 4 battlecards (Virtuzone, Creative Zone, Shuraa, market pricing) — previously hidden behind dynamic routes only.
    • Person schema for both founders on /about with stable @id, referenced from Article author and Organization founder.
    • Footer reorganised: Resources, Compare, Glossary, Tools, Blog at the top of the column with Popular Guides below.

  6. GSC verified, title fix, schema/llms reconciliation, www redirect

    • Google Search Console verified for the canonical zetup.ae Domain property.
    • Killed duplicate brand suffix in titles (was: '… | ZETUP PRO | ZETUP PRO'). 13 titles fixed across 9 pages.
    • Schema priceRange aligned to actual sliding scale (AED 839 – 14,863/month).
    • llms.txt and llms-full.txt reconciled with schema (Mon–Fri hours, single phone number).
    • 301 redirect www → non-www to consolidate canonical signal.
    • Sitemap dates made dynamic from MDX frontmatter (was: hardcoded).
    • Added WebSite + SearchAction schema for Google sitelinks search box.
    • Added ItemList schema on hub pages (services, guides, blog).
