From Berlin to Business Bay — first UAE entity in 5 weeks

A Berlin-headquartered SaaS startup planned a Dubai mainland subsidiary as their first UAE office. They needed a partner who could explain the system to non-Arabic speakers, work async with their European product team, and get a trade licence + first 3 visas issued in their MVP timeline. ZETUP PRO delivered in 5 weeks.

We came in expecting Dubai bureaucracy to be a black box. ZETUP PRO walked us through everything in plain English, gave us a Notion-ready timeline, and our trade licence was in our hands in under 5 weeks.

The challenge

The startup's European founders had no UAE business experience and the team was scattered across Berlin, Lisbon, and Dubai. They needed a PRO partner that worked async, communicated in English (everything in writing), and could be relied on without weekly calls.

Their fundraising calendar required a UAE entity for invoicing 2 enterprise customers in the GCC by quarter-end. Missing that deadline would have meant pushing those contracts to Q1 — a material revenue hit.

They wanted to open a corporate bank account on the same accelerated timeline. UAE banking due-diligence is famously slow (4-8 weeks), and many companies time it last. They wanted it parallelised.

What we did

Async-first communication: shared Notion workspace with every step, every government fee, every required document. Daily Slack-style updates. Founder calls limited to 30-minute decision points only.

Parallel-track execution: trade-name reservation, MOA drafting, and bank-introduction calls all initiated in Week 1 instead of sequentially. Bank due-diligence pack prepared simultaneously with DET application.

European-friendly documentation: all paperwork translated, certified, and apostilled in advance using their home-country notaries — saved 2 weeks of round-tripping documents.

Dedicated bilingual coordinator handled every government touchpoint in person while the founders stayed remote. Trade licence in hand by Week 4; first 3 visas processed Week 5; bank account opened Week 7.
